Covering Districts of Lira, Kole and Dokolo under Bantwana World Education with the support of USAID. Better Outcomes for Children and Youths (BOCY) in the Northern and Eastern Region was awarded by USAID in 2015 to a consortium of partners led by the Bantwana World Education Initiative
The project targets households with Orphans vulnerable Children and Youths. The project supports a package of core interventions for OVCs, youths and their caregivers to ensure access to critical services that mitigate vulnerabilities and promote their well-being. The project is implemented in a district-led framework and in alignment with the National OVC Strategic Plan of the Ministry of Gender, Labor and Social Development
The project aims for Improved well–being of children and youths made vulnerable by HIV and other adversities in Lira, Kole and Dokolo districts
The project purpose is to ensure that more OVCs and youths and their caregivers access and utilize core services that improve health, nutrition, education and psychosocial well-being through;
⦁ Economically empowering OVC, youths and caregivers have increased access to core services
⦁ Improving core services for OVC, youths and their caregivers by Local Governments and community structures
⦁ Improving coordination of community-based clinical and socio-economic services for OVCs, youths and caregivers along the continuum of care
